CORE Transport Scheduler

The Transport Scheduler module provides the functionality to manage, monitor and dispatch goods.

The Sales Order is set up against a specific customer account, each with its own delivery address. Orders can be assigned a particular delivery run, loaded and dispatched. Once dispatched the customer’s account is credited and the stock updated.

Optimise Load Planning

Sales Orders can be setup for delivery from any location and will appear for processing in the relevant Transport Scheduler locations. The Transport Scheduler allows managers to optimise their load planning and delivery, ensuring your customer orders are fulfilled in the most efficient and timely manner. Once an order is allocated to a truck, intelligent prompts are available to alert the planner to other orders that are in the same geographical area.

 

 

Truck Summary

Once a load has been planned, the truck summary (see screenshot) is displayed and a load sheet printed for the haulier. The load sheet contains details of the customers, products, delivery instructions, truck compartments, etc. Once the out loading has been completed, the actual weights despatched are captured and the customers are then billed and the despatch documents printed including full product declarations.

Transport Self Billing

The integration to the Transport Self Billing (TSB) modules allows the generation of invoices for haulage suppliers by using the haulage information captured during the transaction process. This eliminates the requirement to manually reconcile external haulier invoices. The TSB module auto generates the haulier invoice and the complexity of the rate calculations is standardised. Full traceability is available on all rate amendments

Easy to Filter Loads

Products can be assigned a Transport Class relevant to their delivery method, for example Bulk or Bag. The transport scheduler can then present orders for delivery based on different transport classifications. Information, such as transport area, order date, truck type, order type and transport classification, can be maintained against customers and customer ‘ship to’ addresses. This allows for easy identification of related orders which can be grouped into a single load. Loads can easily be amended and rescheduled as required.

Capacity Controls

Capacity controls can be defined for deliveries on a day by day basis, which will ensure that relevant users, including sales reps, are notified when the delivery capacity has been reached for a delivery date. Users and customers are then prompted with the next available delivery date instead when setting up orders.
