At CORE Tech, we are Industry experts in the Agri-tech space. An integral part of being Industry leaders is ensuring solutions we develop guarantee our clients compliance with existing and upcoming legislation.
CORE Tech is at the forefront of the industry in this regard, with a deep understanding of legislation, how it impacts our clients and how we can adapt and develop solutions that ensure full compliance.
A prime example of this is the National Fertiliser Database legislation which came into effect on the 1st September and means it will be compulsory for farmers and other professional fertiliser end-users to be registered on the national database to purchase fertiliser. It will be an offence to sell or purchase fertiliser from the 1st of September without being registered, if you are found to be in breach of the new regulations you could be fined up to €5,000.
The national database is being developed to:
- record fertiliser sales along the supply chain
- achieve better compliance with water quality and environmental ambitions
The overarching objective of the legislation is to encourage improved nutrient use efficiency on farms and support a reduction in fertiliser use in line with targets in Ireland’s Climate Action Plan.
As the largest software provider in the Ag industry and with the legislation being relevant to many of our customers, we held webinars and discussions with our customers to understand the impact and challenges the legislation would have on our clients. CORE Tech has a streamlined solution to offer clients that will not only make them compliant but will ensure a user-friendly experience for the end user. CORE now provide a solution that allows customers to provide data through their portal by integrating their API’s to CORE’s Point of Sales System ensuring a seamless user experience.
